Many thanks for helping us moor up our barge at Southend Pier on Friday night, most kind of you and a real pleasure to meet you. As promised attached is the flyer for the forthcoming Festival of Literature of the Sea which I am involved in which is taking place soon at Chalkwell Park.  We had quite a wild night at the end of the pier Friday, very stormy, boat rocked violently all night, I didn't get a wink of sleep and both myself and the other girl sharing my room heard lots of voices outside the boat shouting from below the pier, spooky. |
